How DSA payouts work

Banks and NBFCs pay direct selling agents a percentage of each disbursed loan. The rate comes from the lender’s payout grid and usually changes with the product and the volume you disburse in a month. At the end of the cycle you raise an invoice for the commission — adding GST if you are registered — and the lender deducts TDS under section 194H before paying you.

Keeping payouts accurate every month

Most payout disputes come from mismatched disbursement data: a file counted in the wrong month, a top-up missed, or a partner’s share calculated on the invoice total instead of the commission. Match every disbursement against the lender’s MIS before invoicing, keep a record of the grid in force for each month, and share partner statements before you pay, not after.

FAQ

Questions about the dsa commission calculator

Do this every day?Loan DSA CRM — Leads, bank logins & payouts for loan DSAs.See Loan DSA CRM
How is a DSA’s commission calculated?
The lender pays a percentage of the disbursed loan amount according to its payout grid. Grids differ by lender, product and monthly volume slab, so enter the rate from your lender’s current grid.
Is GST charged on DSA commission?
If the DSA is registered under GST, commission is a taxable supply of services and GST at 18% is added to the invoice raised on the lender. The GST collected is paid to the government after adjusting input credit.
How much TDS does the lender deduct?
Commission falls under section 194H of the Income-tax Act. The rate has been 2% since 1 October 2024 (it was 5% earlier). When GST is shown separately on the invoice, TDS is calculated on the commission excluding GST. You can claim the TDS against your income tax.
Do I deduct TDS when paying sub-DSA partners?
Commission you pay partners is also covered by section 194H once your payments to a partner cross the annual threshold, so the calculator shows the partner’s share after TDS. Confirm current limits with your CA.
Does this include income tax on my earnings?
No. It shows commission, GST, TDS and partner shares. Your income tax depends on your total income, expenses and tax regime.
